Specify the Schedule Settings

  1. To allow employees to be scheduled without specifying what time they need to arrive and leave (called In Attendance), select In Attendance and use the slider bar or enter a number to specify the maximum number of In Attendance hours per day.

  2. To permit users to view Labor Cost on the schedule even if they do not have Maintain Pay Rate permission, select Show Labor Cost for users without “Maintain Pay Rate” permissions.

  3. To permit users to view Labor Percentage on the schedule even if they do not have Maintain Pay Rate permission, select Show Labor Percentage for users without “Maintain Pay Rate” permissions.

  4. To exclude hours scheduled for managers from the predicted productivity calculation, select Exclude managers in productivity calculations and select the job roles that are considered managers.

  5. To exclude hours scheduled for salaried staff from the predicted productivity calculation, select Exclude salaried staff in productivity calculations.

  6. To require that schedules be approved before they are published, select Enable Schedule Approvals and then select the individuals that you want to be able to approve and reject schedules.

    Each restaurant has a drop-down list of employees associated with that restaurant. Use the list to select the employees who can approve and reject schedules. The list of approvers appears in a box below the restaurant number. To remove an employee from the list of approvers, click the X next to that employee's name.

    When you turn on the Enable Schedule Approvals option, all users who have the Edit Schedules permission automatically inherit the Approve Schedules permission. If you want users to be able to edit schedules but not to approve them, be sure to remove the Approve Schedules permission at the organization and restaurant levels for those users.

    To prevent users other than schedule approvers from printing or sending schedules that are pending approval, select Prevent Print/Send Unapproved Schedule.

  7. Set up any rules governing minors:

    1. Click Add.

    2. Enter the maximum age that employees must be for the rule to apply to them.

    3. Enter the number of hours or days and select the type of rule.

    4. Select the type of alert (warning or do not allow) that you want LiveIQ to apply.

    5. Click Accept .

  8. Click Save.
